Shea butter

Burel Organics supplies 100% natural, unrefined shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii), extracted from ethically and sustainably sourced shea nuts that are fully traceable to their harvesting sources in Ghana, West Africa.

It is made the traditional way. Raw shea kernels are washed, crushed, roasted and milled into a shea paste, which is kneaded into an emulsion. The fat is then separated, dehydrated and cooled until it sets into solid shea butter.

Nothing is refined out, so the butter keeps all of its natural properties. That production process is exactly what guarantees its quality — and what makes it an ideal raw material for cosmetics manufacturing.
